Daily Requirements

How much water do we need?

  • Pregnant women
For the entire 9 months, it is crucial to drink sufficiently. Add (1.5- 2 litres of water) 1
to 2 glasses of water between each meal to your daily intake.
  • Babies and infants
Babies' daily needs are mostly satisfied by milk. However, their water needs are three
times greater than that of adults. A 1 year old child and older needs about 0.6 litre of
water daily. This quantity increases throughout childhood. Infants cannot ask to
drink, that is why it is important to anticipate their needs. Up until 2 years of age
prefer a mineral water low in mineral content for your child.

  • Children from 2 to 12 years old
The recommended daily allowance for liquid for children is higher than that of adults.
The daily liquid requirement is 0.71itre at 2 years old and llitre at 12 years old.
Calcium intake is especially important for this age group. A sufficient supply of
calcium is recommended for the development of bones, teeth and skin. Therefore,
choose a mineral water high in calcium. A glass {33cl) of Aproz mineral water
contains the same quantity of calcium as a glass (lOci) of milk.

  • Teenagers and adults
From 12 to 70 years old we need 1.5 to 2 litres of water per day. The food we eat
supplies about 1/3 of our needs. It is essential to drink 1.5 litres of mineral water a
day. Prefer a mineral water with a mid to high level of mineral content.

  • Seniors
Beyond 70 years old our bodies are made up of less water. However, there is no
significant change in the daily requirements. It is advisable to drink regularly and at
least 1.5 to 2 litres daily. Prefer a mineral water high in mineral content.
